Los Angeles is a scary place, and we’re not talking about the gang-banging. If you plan on finding yourself in Los Angeles for Halloween 2019, there are a number of things to get excited about. We’ll go over a few family-friendly Halloween events in Los Angeles in 2019.

Los Angeles Halloween Amusement Parks

Disneyland Boo-to-You
There are a ton of theme parks in the Los Angeles area. Let’s get started with the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. The characters wear fun halloween costumes, decorations are changed immaculately as per usual Disney. Disneyland keeps everything completely family-friendly and avoids any type of real horror, but it is a themed setting nonetheless.

Legoland Brick-or-Treat
Brick-or-Treat at Legoland down towards San Diego is another option for the kids. Every Saturday night in October is party night with treat stations for the kids, a Dance Party, live entertainment, special themed shows, and more. This might be a really awesome way to enjoy Halloween in style if you’ve got some younger kids with you. Especially if they’re into legos. Legoland is doing a ton of one-day events and special happenings this year, so check out the calendar and see if any of their offerings jive with your schedule.

Knotts Berry Farm’s Halloween Haunt 2019
For mature audiences you’ve got Knotts Berry Farm’s Halloween Haunt which probably holds the belt for the longest-running and largest halloween event for theme parks in the Los Angeles area. Knotts Berry Farm goes all out with rides, mazes, and the live scaring-staff throughout the park. Even without getting in a line and getting on a ride, there’s something to scare you around every corner. If you want it in a bad way this is the place to go, it’s supposed to be really scary this year.

Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2019: Stranger Things!!!!
Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights is entirely focused on Netflix’s smash hit “Stranger Things”. If you’re a fan of the series I would definitely recommend giving this one a try – it isn’t a long drive from central Los Angeles and while this might not be the last year that Stranger Things is a theme here with new seasons very likely on the way that’ll very likely be huge hits as well, it’ll still be a unique experience that won’t be there again next year.
